How to apply for your unemployment insurance benefits?

To make your initial claim, or to open an existing claim, you should visit the website www.getkansasbenefits.com or click here to start.

When to use this system:

Sunday from noon to Monday at 9:00 p.m.

Tuesday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

If you’re going to file your weekly claim, just login with your registered username and password. You can also check the status of your claim and change your personal information here.

    Tried all week to get through on the phone, tried online when entering social it tells me someone already has that account, never before used online serivce how could they have that account, frustrated

      dude system is retarded done that to me to now you have to speak with somebody however a lil eaasyer than you think if you have a land line and cell or go somewhere that has land line haave number to U.I. on redial ready to go at 7:59:30 and hit send on one wait a sec then the other if system is off still hear stupid recording repeat once ringging 1 or the other get thru within 1-5 min

    I have called numerous times on hold for a hour and a half repeatly and been hung up. On I have mailed and faxed my form for extended benifits can someone tell me what’s going on with my claim

    Your phone system stinks. Have tried many times every day since second week of December to talk to you. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!Typical inept government department.

    It’s Sunday afternoon, I’m trying to file a claim. Supposedly, I can click on a link, put in my username and password and get to where I need to go. Every appropriate link that I click on says “Page Cannot be Displayed”. Calling the listed phone numbers for help does no good since all offices are closed on Sunday.

    This website is not very user friendly. Not sure what I’m supposed to do now.

    I tried calling 3 times on automated system has kicked me out 3 times very frustrating tried using pin number on computer system wont accept is there a live person there?

    Good morning, I am checking on two claims I filed for 4 Jan 14, and 11Jan 14. I have been calling for at least two weeks no contact telephone constant ringing, I just want to no did you receive my claims. It stated in the desk guide call to make sure if received are not. Thanks
